Group Leader - John Cripps. Group Admin - Melvyn Sibson
BG-2 meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month for a trip to a birding site.
Currently the group is around the maximum number and there may be waiting list.
Members arrange own travel to meeting point (public transport is rarely possible).Car-share/Lifts possible Members are responsible for paying any entrance fees, transport and parking costs as required.
Outings can involve walking over uneven or muddy ground (typically 1-2 miles), though at a leisurely pace and with frequent pauses to look at birds; a pair of binoculars is essential for good viewing. Some sites have no toilet facilities available (these are usually for morning only visits). Recent outings include Lackford Lakes, Lynford Arboretum, RSPB Fen Drayton Lakes and Ouse Fen reserves. We frequently have packed lunch and coffee at the end of the morning.
If interested in joining the BG-2 (or waiting list) contact us via the blue envelope logo on right of this page. If you are keen on birdwatching and would be interested in forming a third group contact the Group Support Team .
