Did you know that there are 197 countries in the world, most of which are available to be explored by visitors keen to understand their people, sights, customs and cultures?
Now that you are wholly or semi-retired, are you looking to spend some of your spare time and hard-earned savings on travelling? Maybe you have already explored the British Isles and/or Europe but you haven’t had sufficient time - until now - to venture further afield…
Or … you may have already travelled across the globe and have some exciting stories and travel tips to share? Perhaps you have a ‘bucket list’, but you are daunted by the prospect of venturing to far-away places…?
But whether you are a seasoned traveller or just starting to plan your journeys in retirement, this group is for you.
The aim of the group is to provide a forum for group members to share travel experiences and to swap ideas and advice. There will be monthly meetings with a theme at each session such as ‘Modes of travel - by rail, air and road’, ‘Package holidays versus Independent travel’, ‘Advantages and pitfalls of solo travel’, ‘Active Holidays’ and ‘Cruising - across the seas, rivers and via canals’.
The group has a maximum membership of 14 as we meet in the Group Leader's home in St Ives.
If you would like more information on the group please contact Julia by clicking on the blue envelope link at the top of this page.
