Country Walks members 16 in all visited the Giddings on Wednesday 23rd September. Starting with Little Gidding immortalised by T S Eliot in his poem Quartet we spent some time in the small intriguing church of St John learning a little bit about the history of Nicholas Ferrer and the 17th century religious community he established there.
Setting off down through the glorious sweeping pastoral meadow in front of the church we began our walk taking in Great Gidding then off along the Bullock path Milking Slade Lane across country arriving back to Steeple Gidding with its now redundant church then back to our starting point in Little Gidding.

This really is a beautiful landscape to walk with plenty of local interest. I hope you enjoy the photographs.
