Practical sessions where you can create your own designs using a range of dyeing and printing techniques.  Embellishing the resulting fabrics with hand and free-machine stitching, if desired. 

The exact nature of the techniques used will be driven by your original designs and personal preferences but some possible methods are fabric painting, silk-painting, block printing, ice-dyeing, resist-dyeing, spray-dyeing.

You are welcome to focus solely on hand or machine-stitching, without doing any dyeing or printing.

I particularly enjoy free-machine stitching and would be delighted to demonstrate and support participants as they acquire this skill.  I taught Textiles to GCSE and A Level but, since my retirement, I have thoroughly enjoyed producing and exhibiting my own work.

The 2026 sessions will run on: January 29th (this will be at a different location so please contact Anne for details), 26th February, 26th March, 23rd April, 28th May, 25th June, 23rd July, 27th August, 24th September, 22nd October and 26th November.
