Our name comes from the fact that we meet on a Tuesday and 12 is the maximum number of members felt to be manageable. (We used to be called the Tuesday Twelve Book Club.),
The group is registered with the St Ives library who do their best to get as many copies of our chosen books, otherwise most books can be bought at a reasonable cost from local shops, Amazon, ebay etc. The choice of book comes from the group members, often because they have read others by that author or had that particular book recommended by a friend or have been influenced by a book review or pure curiosity. All opinions are welcome and at the end of the discussion session we give each book a score out of 10.
There is a charge for the hire of the room and also a yearly fee for the library service. This charge is shared equally by all members.
It is important that you are able to attend most sessions as there is often a waiting list for places.
For more information please contact the Group Convenor, Jane Brooks, via blue envelope link at the top of this page.
