Peter says: This group is an opportunity to meet and try things out with AI (Artificial Intelligence) on our own laptops, tablets or phones. We will share what works and does not work, and any other AI experiences or news we have.

I am sure there will also be lots of questions (like "how do I do โ€ฆ?", "what happens if we โ€ฆ?", "could I use AI to โ€ฆ?" etc) that we can explore together. Maybe our children or grandchildren have shown us things from AI and we'd like to know how we can do similar.

I will certainly be able to bring my own experiences, and what I have learnt through following AI stories, but I am hoping that many of us will also share things. We will be able to share via the TV screen display in the Library room, so it should be helpful for everyone, even if they do not bring their own device.

To some degree, this group is experimental and we will see how it goes. There are lots of resources on AI (both u3a and others) and I am sure we will explore those too, depending on where the interests of members lead.

If you want to follow up on your interest, we have two groups who meet monthly to explore AI:

  • At our AI Club (on Zoom) we look at all sorts of ways that AI is influencing our life
  • At our AI Hands-On group we meet to try things out on our own devices, and help each other explore AI
