‘The Names’ ensured a very passionate group discussion at the meeting on February 13th. All agreed the subject matter of domestic abuse was very challenging to read.

The concept of the impact of a name influencing the direction of life was very thought provoking; as was being exposed to domestic abuse as a child. Can the cycle of this be broken, is it nature or can nuture positively influence, as considered in the 3 differing ‘name’ scenarios within the prose.
