Our next AGM will be held on Thursday 11th September 2025 at 2 pm in the Corn Exchange in St Ives - at the start of our regular monthly Members Open Meeting. At the end of this page you will see relevant documents.
Elections of Trustees (who form the Committee)
Every current Committee member's term of office comes to an end at the AGM so we need to elect four Officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary), and up to 8 other Trustees. Nominations closed on 23rd August and the nominations received are:
- Chair: Peter Cooper
- Vice-Chair: Brian Gilmour
- Treasurer: Bob Wilson
- Secretary: Sheila Louth
- Other Trustees:
- Anne Bannell
- Sue Belcher
- Gill Jones
- Stella Joyner
- Brenda Kenney
- Roy Moyser
- Ian Pask
Proxy voting
If you cannot actually come to the AGM in person, our constitution allows you to vote by “proxy”, and we encourage you do so. The Proxy Form will be sent out with the September Magazine, and available below for downloading now.
• Write in your name and membership number at the top
• Fill in as much of the form as you wish
• Sign and date the form
• Send or deliver the signed form to the Secretary no later than 10am on Tuesday 9th September 2025
• Alternatively, scanned signed forms can be emailed to the Secretary as long as they are received by the same time/day
Note that this means proxy forms must be received at least two days before the AGM.
We encourage proxy voting by any member who is unable to attend in person as this not only enables you to share in our decision-making, but also means you are included in the numbers that go towards the quorum for the meeting.
Notes
- The AGM can make decisions only if a quorum (10% or about 95 members) is present in person or by proxy
- If you can't come there is no need to give an apology, but it is really useful if you provide a signed proxy form
- During the year the Trustees may co-opt up to 3 members as Trustees
- The Trustees may also invite certain people to meetings by invitation, but they do not thereby become Trustees
