This meeting was concerned with Earth Science, the age of the planet rock formations and types of rock. We also learned about three important people who played a leading role in the foundation of Earth Science and palaeontology. James Hutton, known as the father of Earth Science; William Smith who produced the first geological map and Mary Anning who played a leading role in early palaeontology.
